About YMTSL
The YMTSL was formed in 2004 to provide a positive and structured environment where YMCA swim teams may come together to enjoy equal opportunities and fair play, in the spirit of the National YMCA philosophy where "Everybody Swims, Everybody Wins." The YMTSL seeks to provide member teams with healthy competitive swimming opportunities founded on the philosophy that character development is an essential element of the sport, including the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Eligibility of Individuals
- Each swimmer must be a member of the YMCA.
This is limited to a Program or a Facility Member.- Each swimmer must be a member of his respective YMCA for a minimum of 7 days before being considered eligible to enter any League meet.
- A swimmer who has represented another YMCA team in the past year is required to obtain a letter of consent (signed by the former coach and a program director or executive director) from the previous team stating that the swimmer has left the team.
- A swimmer ineligible for one team of this League shall be considered ineligible for all teams of this League.
- Any person who has at any time represented a collegiate institution in competitive swimming or diving is ineligible.
- Swimmers may compete in open events up to age 21 years.
